“…This explains the steady interest in this subject, as seen from several recent works [10][11][12][13][14][15][16]. In particular, some charged black hole solutions in the DGP model have been reported [17][18][19].…”

“…It turns out that this metric gives the Ricci scalar and square of the Ricci tensor exactly as indicated in (12) for , as in (17). To bring the line element (20) into the Boyer-Lindquist expression, we can employ the coordinate transformation…”

“…There are two main reasons that make this model phenomenologically appealing. First, it predicts that 4D Newtonian gravity on a brane world is regained at distances shorter than a given crossover scale r c (high energy limit), whereas 5D effects become manifest above that scale (low energy limit) (Lue 2006;del Campo and Herrera 2007;Gregory et al 2007). Second, the model can explain latetime acceleration without having to invoke a cosmological constant or quintessential matter (Deffayet 2001;Deffayet et al 2002).…”

“…On the other hand, for the DGP model only approximate Schwarzschild solutions has been obtained in (Porrati 2002;Kofinas et al 2002aKofinas et al , 2002bKofinas et al , 2003Lue and Starkman 2003;Middleton and Siopsis 2004;Nicolis and Rattazzi 2004) until Gabadadze and Iglesias obtain the exact solutions in (Gabadadze and Iglesias 2005). For solutions of charged black holes and charged rotating black holes on DGP brane, see (Young and Lee 2008; Lee et al 2008Lee et al , 2009. Also the exact solutions of the vacuum field equations on the brane in which matter is confined to the brane by the action of a confining potential without using any junction condition have been studied in (Heydari-Fard et al 2007).…”
