Abstract:Background Gallibacterium anatis, is a gram-negative coccoba-cillus that belong to the family of Pasteurellaceae. It is the historically considered an opportunistic pathogen of intensively reared poultry and domestic birds. It is the main cause of salpingitis, ovaritis and peritonitis.
