“…The capacity of both strains to modulate the immune response as the result of an infection by Helicobacter pylori has been evaluated in AGS cells (human gastric adenocarcinoma cell line) and THP-1 cells (human monocytic cell line). Both cell lines were demonstrated to increase the IL-10 and IFN-γ anti-inflammatory response as well as reduce the TNF-α IL-8 and IL-1b proinflammatory response, being the preventive model that provided the best results [ 115 , 116 , 117 ].
