Characterization of the complete chloroplast genome sequence of Sarcandra glabra (Chloranthales)

Abstract: Sarcandra glabra is a perennial evergreen subshrub, with high ornamental and medicinal value. Using the Illumina high-throughput sequencing data, its chloroplast genome is well assembled and characterized. The complete chloroplast genome is 158,872 bp in length with a typical quadripartite structure: a pair of inverted repeats (IRs) of 26,122 bp for each, an 88,182 bp large single-copy (LSC) region and an 18,445 bp small single-copy (SSC) region. It was composed of 128 genes and they were identified… Show more

“…Based on the characteristic locations of OH or OOH and double bond in these compounds, a plausible epoxidation or [2 + 2] addition between O 2 and D 4 (5) and subsequent H + -mediated cracking and double bond migration can yield derivates with OH-4 and D 5 (6) (188,189,193,195,196,(201)(202)(203)(204)208, and 209), OOH-4 and D 5 (6) (190-192, 194, 197-200, and 205-207), OH-5 and D 15(4) (151), or OOH-5 and D 15(4) (210-213) (Fig. 6).…”

“…198 In the same year, a high-quality chromosome-level genome of C. spicatus was assembled and the genes of the sesquiterpenes synthases were predicted. 199 Additionally, the complete chloroplast genome of S. glabra , 200,201 C. henryi , 202 C. spicatus , 203 and L. aggregate 204 and the complete plastid genome sequence of C. fortunei were reported. 205 The establishment of a biosynthesis platform is the basis for biosynthesis research on plant natural products.…”

“…[1] To meet the long-term development demand, efficiency and stable catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) are required to replace Pt-and Ru-based precious metal catalysts on the cathode. [2][3][4] Carbonbased catalysts and transition metal-based catalyst have been extensively studied with outstanding activity. [5][6][7] Although many excellent catalysts have been reported, [8][9][10] the binder is inevitable used to attach the powder catalyst with gas diffusion electrode when assembling ZAB for the dispersion and fixation, as well as mixing the ORR and OER catalysts.…”

“…Recently, different reports based on genomics [17], transcriptomics [18], metabolomics [18], and phenomics [19] have been reported in S. glabra. Various researches for characterization of extrachromosomal (chloroplast) genome [20][21][22] and to find the evolutionary relationship of various S. glabra subspecies [23] have also been presented. Furthermore, the amplified fragmentlength polymorphism (AFLP) and microsatellite establishment [24,25] and SNP marker manipulation studies [26] have also been carried out for molecular evaluation in S. glabra.…”
