Characterization Of Temporal Trends Of Dengue Fever In Municipalities In The Brazilian Northeast Outback

Abstract: Introduction: Dengue fever is currently a major endemic health issue in the city of Brejo Santo, located in the Brazilian Northeast outback, due to the rising morbidity and mortality rates in the area. The mosquito Aedes aegypti, the main vector of dengue fever virus, is highly adapted to the domestic environment. Since 1981 Brazil has been living with epidemic outbreaks of dengue fever.
