“…To overcome these limitations, a number of injectable systems such as bulk hydrogels and porous microbeads have been proposed and investigated . Minimally invasive delivery strategies are preferred in a wide range of medical scenarios including dermatology, urology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, dentistry, etc., as they allow quick delivery, ease of application, and an increase in patient comfort over traditional surgeries.…”

“…Cyclic loading (Figure c,d) shows no significant difference in percent change hysteresis over any alginate over time with the exception of PRP‐encapsulated alginates at day 14, indicating greater crosslinking stability of the functionalized alginates over encapsulated alginates. The alginates are subjected to the same concentrations of crosslinkers as it has been shown previously that energy loss upon cyclic loading may be more dependent upon crosslinking than the material (Growney Kalaf et al, ). Significantly higher stress relaxation is exhibited in the functionalized alginates over encapsulated on day 4 ( p < .0183), and by day 14 the encapsulated alginates trend toward an increased change in hysteresis as well as stress relaxation over both functionalized and control alginates.…”

“…As it is seen in the literature, experimental set‐ups are generally established using animal tissues as live mammalian subjects in the studies of toxicity or cytotoxicity. As it is known that the sensitivity of human and animal tissues is different, therefore, the results obtained can be different and misleading as well . In many studies where animal tissues are not used, commercial cell lines are used …”
