Irrigationwater sources with inadequate quality and contamination havenegative impactson cultivationand environment as well. In our study we emphasize that the quality of ground waters should be controlled and regularly monitored.We compared our results with our former studies. We showed that our present results – with some minor exceptions – are in accordance with former statements regarding concentration of the main chemical components and physical characteristics of the irrigation ground waters, derived from different depths and located mainly in the south-eastern part of Hungary.
