Characterization of Main-Chain Liquid Crystal Elastomers Using X-ray Diffraction Method

Abstract: Abstract-We characterized the four main chain liquid crystal elastomers (MCLCEs) samples using the x-ray diffraction method. The four samples had different concentration of crosslinkers, i.e 8%, 12%, 14% and 16%. There was a relationship between crosslinkers concentration and d-spacing parameter here, namely when the concentration increased the d-spacing parameter did, too. In polymeric material, the dspacing parameter indicates the average of length between dominant clusters of the heavy molecule. We also cal… Show more

“…At the time of MCLCE formation, the ordering level of the mesogenic units is relatively the same. Since the LCPs are cross-linked with various cross-linking densities, the degree of crystallinity of the MCLCE samples with lower cross-linking density becomes higher than that of the samples with higher density, as confirmed by the previous study 28 .…”

“…Performance management is all practices conducted to enhance the performance of a business or organisation, including the performance of each person in a company [15]. In addition, according to Kopelmen in Supardi [16], there are four factors influencing organizational efficiency, namely: 1) the environment, 2) individual characteristics, 3) organizational characteristics, 4) organizational characteristics. The level of success of the instructor can be assessed by indicators; 1) quality of work, 2) quantity, 3) speed/exactness of work, 4) capacity to work, 5) communication [17].…”
