Characterization of heavy-quark fragmentation via jets and correlations with ALICE

Abstract:Fragmentation functions are a key component of quantum chromodynamics (QCD) calculations based on the factorisation approach. They are typically determined from the analysis of electron-positron (e β e + ) and electron-proton (ep) collision data. Recent measurements of charmhadron spectra and of the ratios of charm-hadron abundances in pp collisions have questioned the universality of fragmentation functions across leptonic and hadronic collision systems. In these proceedings, measurements of heavy-flavour jet… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citationsβcitations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
