The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of a linear filter on the regularity of a given stochastic process in terms of the fractal dimension. This general approach, described in a continuous time domain, is new and is characterized by its simplicity. The framework of this problem is general since it emerges when a fractal process undertakes a transformation, as is the case in denoising or measurement processes.

Abstract:The influence of the irregular surface of a multi-layered soil on the estimation of the ground resistance of a complex electrode is studied. The electrode is placed in the first layer while the irregular surface is treated as the interface of an inhomogeneous volume filled with air and embedded in the first layer. A wide sample of irregular soils is generated and the variation of the electrode grounding resistance, as a function of a parameter that measures the surface unevenness, is evaluated. A stochastic model of the grounding resistance is proposed for which the variation of the electrode grounding resistance with its horizontal position relative to the surface is studied. The model features allow us to explain the variability found, as we are able to estimate the part of the uncertainty about the electrode grounding resistance measurements due to the non-planar soil surface.

Generowanie topografii powierzchni zgodnych ze skutkami określonego procesu obróbki może być wynikiem symulacji procesu. W przypadku obróbki ściernej, gdy powierzchnia obrabiana jest kształtowana przez wielką liczbę ziaren (nawet 10 6 -10 9 ziaren na mm 2 powierzchni), to obliczenia symulacyjne są niezwykle czasochłonne i mogą wymagać nawet ponad 10 18 operacji matematycznych. Oddziaływa-nia ziaren ściernych w kolejnych przejściach, sekwencyjnie zmniejszające nierówności powierzchni poprzez usuwanie coraz mniejszych warstw materiału, mogą być opisywane, jako addytywna kumulacja składowych o coraz mniejszej wysokości nierówności i coraz wyższym wymiarze fraktalnym. W referacie przedstawiono metodykę i algorytm tworzenia modeli powierzchni po obróbce ściernej. KEYWORDS: surface topography, abrasive machining, fractal dimension Wybrane problemy oceny topografii powierzchni po szlifowaniuWśród prac, dotyczących modelowania topografii powierzchni narzędzi ściernych [8,10,13,15,17,18] oraz powierzchni po obróbce ściernej [5,7,8,12,14,29,30,38] można wymienić prace opisujące wyniki badań nad zastosowaniem teorii fraktali, analiz częstości składowych, przekształceń falkowych, analiz statystycznych, analiz wywodzących się z teorii chaosu i katastrof. Większość wyników wykazuje ograniczoną przydatność i dość wąski zakres adekwatności lub wielką złożoność obliczeniową, z ograniczoną możliwością sterowania procesami generowania trójwymiarowego obrazu powierzchni i jego specyficznych cech.To powoduje, że nadal poszukuje się prostych i uniwersalnych generatorów pozwalających na generowanie współ-rzędnych powierzchni o cechach statystycznie zgodnych z powierzchniami rzeczywistymi.Podstawą opracowanego generatora były analizy opisane poniżej, uwzględniające potrzebę opracowania lepszych modeli do generowania obrazów powierzchni.Tworzenie generatorów powierzchni technicznych jest potrzebne nie tylko dla doskonalenie modelowania i wizualizacji [1,3,8,19,20,23,35,38], ale również dla tworzenia licznych zbiorów powierzchni, w celu rozszerzenia zakresu analiz i badań właściwości stereometrycznych, relacji mię-dzy parametrami 2D i 3D oraz poszukiwania struktur stereometrycznych uważanych za korzystne w określonych zastosowaniach eksploatacyjnych [5,16,23,32,34].
