Characterization of Fluorocarbon-in-Water Emulsions With Added Triglyceride

Abstract: Fluorocarbon-in-water emulsions are being explored clinically as synthetic oxygen carriers in general surgery. Stabilizing fluorocarbon emulsions against coarsening is critical in maintaining the biocompatibility of the formulation following intravenous administration.
