Abstract:Man-made noise (MMN) appears as samples of high amplitude when demodulated by a digital receiver. When the effect of MMN pulses over a specific communication system is researched it is useful to know what can be expected about the pulses in terms of amplitude, phase, duration and time between two consecutive ones. In this paper we describe what parameters are needed in order to appropriately characterize MMN in a practical way, and how we can use these parameters to generate MMN sequences that would be added t… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
