“…Also, a multifunctional cysteine protease with optimum pH of 5 was mainly expressed in the midgut epithelium and was specifically localized in the lysosomal vacuoles and possibly released into the gut lumen in Haemaphysalis longicornis (Tsuiji et al, 2008).
