Abstract:Caigua (Cyclanthera pedata (L.) Schrad.) is a native species of the Andes whose fruits are recently gaining attention as herbal and healthy product. A genotype of Caigua traditionally cultivated in Camonica Valley (Italian Alps), called “Ciuenlai” (or “Milione/Milioncino”), is almost unknown.
