“…Figure 3 shows the ESR spectrum of Cu(lI)-aspirinate in a 40 % Py + 60 % DMF solution at room temperature. This is similar to the spectra of Cu2(Asp)2Py 2 in chloroform [ 13 ] and of Cu(II)-glyoxime dichloride in dioxane [ 19] suggesting the presence of Cu(II)-pseudotetrahedral monomeric species [20]. The characteristic isotropic parameters ate g0 = 2.16 and A 0 --62 G. No resolved superhyperfine structure due to the interaction of the paramagnetic electron with nitrogen atoms of the pyridine molecules was observed.…”
