Characterization and formulation of sunscreen from seaweed Padina australis and Euchema cottonii slurry

Abstract: Exposure of UV light can cause skin rashes and sunburn, stimulating the formation of melanin. Long term UV exposure also can cause skin cancer. One way that can reduce negative impact of UV exposure is by using sunscreen. The aims of this study were to obtained the best ratio of seaweed P. australis and E. cottonii slurry to produce sunscreen cream and as well as obtaining sunscreen formulation with good stability.
