The MUSTN1 gene plays a role in regulating skeletal muscle hypertrophy and myofusion, and it has been linked to the rapid development of the pectoral muscle in ducks [ 62 64 ]. The heightened expression of the MUSTN1 gene during the late embryonic phase suggests its crucial involvement in myofusion before hatching (D0) and the positive regulation of muscle growth during postnatal stages.…”
