“…By contrast, only one layer of G/WPU spraying ink was coated on the cotton fabric without the inner and outermost layer of WPU, named as G/WPU. The coating weight was employed as the parameter to evaluate the coating results, and W (g/m 2 ) could be calculated by the following equation: where W 1 is the weight after spray coating process, W 2 is the pristine weight of control sample, and A is the surface area of the original sample.…”

“…The phosphated samples were rinsed with deionized water and dried with compressed air. The coating weight of phosphated samples was determined according to the following equation (Abdalla et al , 2017; Banczek et al , 2008): where W is the layer weight per unit area, W 1 is the sample weight after phosphating, W 2 is the weight of the sample after eliminating the phosphate layer using a 5% chromium trioxide solution for 15 min at 70°C, and A is the sample area exposed to the phosphating solution.…”

“…Pretreatment process with metal salts like copper acetate and nickel acetate before phosphating step are very helpful in accelerating the deposition of zinc phosphate coating on a steel surface. These salts create many nucleation sites on the metal surface through formation of small galvanic cells between Fe and Cu or Fe and Ni, which subsequently accelerate the coating formation (Abdalla et al , 2013, 2017). The advantage of using such pretreatment is that the solution of activation treatment can be used for long time without the problems of sedimentation and coagulation that have existed in the traditional activation process of titanium aqueous solutions.…”

“…Mediumcontents of phosphorus (5 to 9 % P) have a lesser crystalline size but somewhat tend to remain semi-amorphous, on the other hand high-phosphorus contents (over 10 percent P) be present mostly as glass metal. Generally when the deposition of phosphorous content is high, the good corrosion resistance is achieved but the low phosphorous content exhibit bad corrosion resistance [15][16].…”
