“…Beam-foil spectroscopy of 3dÈ4f transitions between doubly excited terms of Ne VIII has been done by Buchet-Poulizac et al [18]. Surprisingly enough, theoretical studies of doubly excited states of Ne7`are also very scarce [17,19] although a number of papers were devoted to many ions of the sequence. Therefore, we performed an experiment to determine a larger number of levels, to reconstruct a sufficiently complete pattern of the quartet system of Ne VIII and, possibly, to observe some transitions between doubly excited states in the doublet term system.…”
