Characteristics of Externally Pressurized Journal Bearings with Membrane-Type Variable-Flow Restrictors as Compensating Elements

Abstract: The characteristics of externally pressurized journal bearings with four recesses and with membrane-type variable-flow restrictors as compensating elements are analytically investigated by using the bearing model of Raimondi and Boyd.
