With the continuous influence of the digital economy fields such as mobile internet, big data, and artificial intelligence, the deep integration of sports events and the tourism industry is increasingly profound. As an emerging industry, sports event tourism shows a strong momentum of development. This study employs methods including literature review and logical analysis to delve into the current status and issues of the integrated development of sports events and the tourism industry in Kaizhou District, Chongqing. Based on this analysis, the study proposes strategies for promoting the deep integration of sports events and the tourism industry in the digital economy era, focusing on building a product system, shaping brand image, and nurturing professional talents.
