“…The spectra of different samples showed similar curves, with major vibrational bands at 3448 cm −1 , 1645 cm −1 , 1428 cm −1 , 990 cm −1 , 970 cm −1 , 875 cm −1 , and 450 cm −1 . Post-alkali activation, the absorption peaks at 3448 cm −1 and 1645 cm −1 corresponded to the bending and stretching vibrations of H-O-H and O-H [31], respectively, confirming the presence of crystalline water in the hydration products of AASFCS. The bands at 1428 cm −1 and 875 cm −1 were attributed to the asymmetric stretching and bending vibrations of O-C-O in carbonates [31], indicating a significant increase in the intensity of the CO 3 2− group absorption band with an increase in the copper-molybdenum tailings content.…”

The bands at 990 cm −1 and 970 cm −1 correlated to the asymmetric stretching vibrations of Si-O-Si or Si-O-Al [51], suggesting that the major hydration product was the C(-N)-S-H gel.…”

“…At the same time, the consumption of Ca(OH) 2 in the pozzolanic reaction in the cementitious systems will promote the further hydration of SS. Zhong et al [16][17][18] prepared clinker-free GBFS-SS alkali-activated cementitious materials using Na 2 SiO 4 as an alkaline activator, and the results showed that the incorporation of SS reduced the total exothermic capacity of the cementitious systems. Most of the crystalline phases of SS did not participate in the hydration reaction, and the drying shrinkage of the cementitious systems was comparable to that of Portland cement with a low risk of alkali aggregate reactions when the SS content reached 40%.…”

“…Additionally, advancements in pollution control technologies in these plants have resulted in the reduction in fly ash generation. Furthermore, as a part of the decarbonization process, the iron production process is switching from blast furnaces to electric arc furnaces, which will result in the reduction in GGBFS [8]. As a result, it is crucial to discover a substitute material for these industrial byproducts with high pozzolanic properties to produce geopolymer binders.…”
