Abstract:The composites of poly(butylene terephthalate) (PBT) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) functionalized with carboxylic acid, acyl chloride and ethyl amine were prepared and their properties were characterized. The interfacial adhesion energies between PBT and functionalized MWCNTs were estimated with a drop-on-fiber method combined with a generalized droplet shape analysis method. The interfacial adhesion energies between PBT and functionalized MWCNTs were higher than that between PBT and pristine MWCN… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
