Abstract:This study investigated the antioxidant, antiaging, and antibacterial properties of Gracilaria verrucosa (GV) based on 95% methanol (GVM), ethanol (GVE), and hot water (GVW) extractions. Antioxidant activity assays revealed the total polyphenol and flavonoid contents were highest in GVM and GVE. The 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl-hydrate (DPPH) and 2,2′-Azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) activities were highest in GVE and GVM.
