Abstract: Thymus vulgaris L. is a commonly used medicinal and culinary plant. It tolerates drought well and contains biologically active polyphenols, among which is rosmarinic acid (RA). The last step of RA biosynthesis is catalyzed by rosmarinic acid synthase (RAS).
