Previous studies have found that composting facilities and wastewater treatment facilities are large bioaerosol sources and may therefore represent an exposure hazard to workers and people living in the vicinity of these locations (Johnson, Camann, Harding, & Sober, 1979;Sawyer et al, 1996).
