Challenging the Rapid Learner

Abstract: Elementary school teachers have been charged with the problem of further developing the gifted or talented child in arithmetic. This is an area in which many have done something but in which no one has done enough. The following suguestions are not offered as a panacea for the situation but as practical ideas that may be used and from which others may be developed.
