The emergence of biometric technology provides enhanced security compared to the traditional identification and authentication techniques that were less efficient and secure. Despite the advantages brought by biometric technology, the existing biometric systems such as Automatic Speaker Verification (ASV) systems are weak against presentation attacks. A presentation attack is a spoofing attack launched to subvert an ASV system to gain access to the system. Though numerous Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) systems were reported in the literature, a systematic survey that describes the current state of research and application is unavailable. This paper presents a systematic analysis of the state-of-the-art voice PAD systems to promote further advancement in this area. The objectives of this paper are two folds: (i) to understand the nature of recent work on PAD systems, and (ii) to identify areas that require additional research. From the survey, a taxonomy of voice PAD and the trend analysis of recent work on PAD systems were built and presented, whereby the recent and relevant articles including articles from Interspeech and ICASSP Conferences, mostly indexed by Scopus, published between 2015 and 2021 were considered. A total of 172 articles were surveyed in this work. The findings of this survey present the limitation of recent works, which include spoof-type dependent PAD. Consequently, the future direction of work on voice PAD for interested researchers is established. Nowadays, most hospitals have new problem that is lack of medical nurse due to the number of patient increas rapidly. The patient especially with physical disabilities are difficult to control the switch on electrical appliances in patient's room. This research aims to develope voice recognition based home automation and being applied to patient room. A miniature of patient's room are made to simulate this system. The patient's voice is received by the microphone and placed close to the patient to reduce the noise.V3 Voice recognition module is used to voice recognition process. Electrical bed of patient is represented by mini bed with utilising motor servo. The lighting of patient room is represented by small lamp with relay. And the help button to call the medical nurse is represented by buzzer. Arduino Uno is used to handle the controlling process. Six basic words with one syllable are used to command for this system. This system can be used after the patient's voice is recorded. This system can recognize voice commands with an accuracy 75%. The accuracy can be improved up to 85% by changing the voice command into two syllables with variations of vowels and identical intonation. Higher accuracy up to 95% can be reached by record all the subject's voice.

Computer nowadays is a must-have tool for most people. However, it is not a tool to be used by people with physical disabilities, especially the ones lacking an arm or two. The goal of this paper is to introduce a system that will help computer users perform tasks and make use of computer features and functions despite their physical limitations through the Speech Recognition System (SRS) in the English language. Ideally, this aims to provide users with an alternative way of interacting with the computer system and navigate through its functions using SRS in place of peripheral devices. It can be used to navigate through menus, open and manage applications, open certain websites, browse the internet, and type words, letters, numbers, and symbols using the dictation mode. For the testing phase, the following test cases were used: Functionality Testing, Stress Testing, and Compatibility. The testing phase yielded a result of 94.79% for the functional, 100% for stress, and 100% for compatibility, effectively ensuring that the software is working as intended. The evaluation results conforming to the standards of the ISO/IEC 9126-1 yielded a mean of 3.57 with a standard deviation of 0.52 interpreted as ‘Highly Acceptable', which means that the software can be used as an effective alternative to peripheral devices and can even be used to complement its usage.
