Agriculture market provides more scopes and benefits to the farmers. By using emerging technologies and using internet and online facilities, now farmers can directly participate in the auction and they can bid the same. Here, in this research paper we discuss about the SWOC (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Challenges) analysis of agriculture market. Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Challenges in Agriculture. Strength covers the points like Strong links with the government providing subsidies. Nationwide presence. High control over all the operations within the production process. Even government vision is to encourage the consistency, standardization in agriculture marketplace by restructuring the measures between consumers and suppliers. [1] Actual value sighting is constructed on demand and supply. Weakness covers the points like Farmer already have strong attachment to existing local marketers. Lacks of confirmed market positioning. Opportunity covers the points like Farmer will get the benefits that whole process of auction will be based on quality of product and it will be totally transparent. Farmer will get the timely payment through online. All the APMC in the countries will come under the joint online marketplace. In APMC farmer will get the benefit by the state government, but in eNam is a national agriculture market in which farmer will get the exposure of nationwide. Challenges cover the points like Participating all the APMC’s through one joint connected marketplace. Already too much competition within the market is there. So many current participants are already contributing the undistinguishable products.

Handcrafted salted fish is marketed weekly in retail markets and public fairs in the Porto Velho city, Rondônia sate, Brazil. Knowing the microbiological quality of these products is essential for public health, given that such products are not subject to any quality control. The aimed of the study was to evaluate the hygienic-sanitary characteristics and the moisture content of pirarucu and salted and dried shrimp marketed in the Porto Velho city. Twenty samples were collected, 10 pirarucu and 10 shrimp, in February and June 2019. For microbiological analysis, surface plating was performed using acidified potato agar, for molds and yeasts, and PCA agar for halophilic bacterias. Moisture was determined by gravimetry, using an oven at 105° C. Results for molds and yeasts on pirarucu ranged <10 log CFU/g (absent) to 3 log CFU/g. For shrimp, values ranged <10 log CFU/g to 3.57 log CFU/g. For halophilic bacterias, contents ranged <10 log CFU/g to 6.30 log CFU/g in pirarucu samples and <10 log CFU/g to 6.97 log CFU/g in shrimp samples. The variation in moisture content ranged 36.99 to 54.31% for pirarucu, and 40.6 to 56.82% for shrimp. The results obtained may be related to poor hygienic conditions in processing, the lack of hygiene of utensils and places for handling, or even the quality of the raw material used.

Gradually, concern for the welfare of aquatic invertebrates produced on a commercial/industrial scale is crossing the boundaries of science and becoming a demand of other societal actors. The objective of this paper is to propose protocols for assessing the Penaeus vannamei welfare during the stages of reproduction, larval rearing, transport, and growing-out in earthen ponds and to discuss, based on a literature review, the processes and perspectives associated with the development and application of on-farm shrimp welfare protocols. Protocols were developed based on four of the five domains of animal welfare: nutrition, environment, health, and behaviour. The indicators related to the psychology domain were not considered a separate category, and the other proposed indicators indirectly assessed this domain. For each indicator, the corresponding reference values were defined based on literature and field experience, apart from the three possible scores related to animal experience on a continuum from positive (score 1) to very negative (score 3). It is very likely that non-invasive methods for measuring the farmed shrimp welfare, such as those proposed here, will become a standard tool for farms and laboratories and that it will become increasingly challenging to produce shrimp without considering their welfare throughout the production cycle.
