Challenge of Lung Isolation in Patients with Vocal Cord Implants

Abstract: : Glottic closure insufficiency increases the risk of aspiration and pneumonia, particularly in the elderly. Medialization thyroplasty is an open surgical procedure for treating glottic incompetency by approximating both vocal folds.
