We thank Sanlıalp et al 1 for their interest in our article. 2 The CHA2DS2-VASc (congestive heart failure, hypertension, age ≥75 years, diabetes mellitus, previous stroke, vascular disease, age between 65 and 74 years, female gender) score is a globally accepted scoring method used by the current European and American guidelines. 3,4 The CHA2DS2-VASc score has been investigated in many clinical situations. [5][6][7] In our study, we evaluated the usability of the CHA2DS2-VASc score in predicting total occlusion in NSTEMI patients, which had not been studied before. There are many scoring systems derived from the CHA2DS2-VASc score (e.g. CHA2DS2-VASc-HS, CHA2DS2-VASc-HSF, and P2-CHA2DS2-VASc). However, these scoring systems have not been widely evaluated in studies with a large number of patients, unlike the CHA2DS2-VASc score.Due to the need for a scoring system with higher sensitivity and specificity in predicting total occlusion, more studies with a large number of patients on this subject are required.
