Technical improvement of the TBP (tubulin‐based polymorphism) method for plant species detection, based on capillary electrophoresis

As a practical case, TBP has been applied to the analysis of commercial feeds provided to cows whose milk is used for the production of the Italian Bitto PDO cheese . Feeding regime is strictly regulated for Bitto production so that cows must be fed on mountain pasture grasses and their diet can only be supplemented by feed (up to a maximum of 3 kg of dry matter per day) that contains maize, barley, wheat, soy, with molasses up to a maximum of 3%.…”
