This statement is not to diminish the important work of current BIPOC primatologists/anthropologists such as Stephanie Poindexter (SUNY Buffalo), Michelle Brown (University of California, Santa Barbara), Agustin Fuentes (Princeton), and the many graduate students across the country, who investigate topics ranging from primate behavioral ecology to human race/racism (Brown et al, 2022; Fuentes et al, 2022; Poindexter & Garrett, 2020).
