Abstract:The article discusses a method for producing silver nanoparticles (NPs) in aqueous solutions by reducing sodium borohydride in the presence of polyvinyl alcohol; selected optimal conditions for the synthesis. The resulting silver NPs have a spherical shape, with a diameter of from 30 to 130 nm. NPs are stable, do not precipitate and do not change color for 3–4 weeks. Electron microscopic images confirm the formation of a thin polymer film on the surface of cellulose fiber and show a change in the morphological… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
