“…The intense absorption band of ePTFE located at 1150–1210 cm –1 is ascribed to the –CF 2 asymmetric and symmetric bands, with a shoulder peak around 1240 cm –1 attributed to the C–C band. , These are the dominant peaks in both the virgin and modified ePTFE films. On the other hand, the DMAEMA monomer exhibits characteristic IR peaks, namely, those of C–N around 11450–1190 cm –1 , − CH 2 bending at 1454 cm –1 , ,, CC at 1636 cm –1 , CO from the ester group observed at 1710–1740 cm –1 , ,− ,, the C–H of the ternary amine –N(CH 3 ) 2 at approximately 2771 and 2822 cm –1 , − , and finally, the asymmetric vibration of CH 3 at about 2951–2972 cm –1 . Owing to the shared chemical composition of DMAEMA and TMAEMA, the majority of absorption peaks, such as C–N and CO, are also present in the FT-IR spectra of the TMAEMA monomer.…”
