Cellular calcium in bipolar disorder: systematic review and meta-analysis

Abstract: Calcium signalling has long been implicated in bipolar disorder, especially by reports of altered intracellular calcium ion concentrations ([Ca 2+ ]). However, the evidence has not been appraised critically.
