“…Conditions of 55 °C seemed to be the optimum for all of the cases, either using pretreated biomass or not, which is in agreement with most Based on these results, the optimum pH found for each enzyme was used to test the temperature of the process (Figure 5). Conditions of 55 • C seemed to be the optimum for all of the cases, either using pretreated biomass or not, which is in agreement with most of the previous works on enzymatic pretreatment using Viscozyme, Celluclast, and Alcalase, where their optimum temperature ranged from 35 to 55 • C, achieving its maximum at 55 • C [27,[29][30][31][32].…”

“…Foods 2021, 10, x FOR PEER REVIEW 8 of 14 of the previous works on enzymatic pretreatment using Viscozyme, Celluclast, and Alcalase, where their optimum temperature ranged from 35 to 55 °C, achieving its maximum at 55 °C [27,[29][30][31][32]. Thus, the optimal conditions for the synergic effect of enzymatic pretreatment and US incubation were incubation for 6 h at pH 5.0 and 55 °C for all enzymes studied (Viscozyme, Celluclast, and Alcalase).…”

“…The physical methods such as ultrasounds (USs) accelerate the action of the enzymes, showing a synergic effect of both pretreatments, enzymatic and US, on the break of N. gaditana cell wall. When each pretreatment was applied separately on the microalgae biomass the oil yield was fewer than the one obtained by their combination, obtaining an effective combined pretreatment previously optimized in other works of the research group ( Zuorro et al, 2016 ; Chen et al, 2017 ; Zhang et al, 2017 ; Zhang et al, 2018a ; Dixon and Wilken, 2018 ; Wang et al, 2019 ; Blanco-Llamero et al, 2021 ).…”

“…For example, liner board coated with palm oil from palm fruit bunch’s lignin derivatives exhibited superior water-resistant properties . Thus, we assume that PKO from the seed of palm fruit will be similar to palm oil and be consider as a potential promising candidate for edible, renewable, and biodegradable paper coating with suitable fabrication and curing process. , Additionally, in some regions where PKO is present, it is used as cooking and as microbial ingredients in lotions to prevent skin damages. , …”

“…35,36 Additionally, in some regions where PKO is present, it is used as cooking and as microbial ingredients in lotions to prevent skin damages. 37,38 In this work, a facile method has been proposed to fabricate an ecofriendly, low-cost, and water-resistant paper coating using palm kernel oil. Food grade hexane is used as an organic solvent for dissolving the PKO.…”
