“…Previous studies have also demonstrated that HSP27 protects against mitochondrial-induced apoptosis (15,16). Therefore the present study aimed to determine whether SPARC facilitates the suppression of HSP27-mediated protection of mitochondrial Δψ.…”

“…The in vitro scratch assay was performed as previously described (16,17). Briefly, SK-N-BE(2) and NB1691 neuroblastoma cells were plated in 24-well plates (density, 10,000 cells/well).…”

“…The higher superficial tension of Ca(OCl) 2 can explain the results of present study, since this characteristic can affect the penetration of substance in the root canal walls. In addition to a similar antimicrobial activity, the Ca(OCl) 2 has also ability to promote tissue dissolution, it is a biocompatible substance , it maintains more stable the active chlorine content and does not promote reduction of the mechanical properties of dentin . For these reasons, the present study suggest the use of Ca(OCl) 2 as a viable alternative to be used as chemical auxiliary substance during the endodontic therapy.…”

“…Calcium hypochlorite (Ca[OCl] 2 ) is an alkaline white powder that was initially used for water treatment and industrial sterilisation . More recently, Ca(OCl) 2 has been found to be effective against E. faecalis , also promotes tissue dissolution , chemically stable in storage and biocompatible .…”

“…To overcome the problems associated with using NaOCl as an irrigant solution, Ca(OCl) 2 has been proposed as an alternative in endodontic therapy (14)(15)(16)25,26). It is very alkaline and tends to produce more chlorine than NaOCl (25), which partially explains its antimicrobial activity (16).…”
