Cell Membrane‐Coated AuNPs as a New Biomimetic Platform for ROS Scavenger Provides Cytoprotection from Apoptosis Induced by Oxidative Stress

Abstract

ConclusionThis work reported a new method in the synthesis of AuNPs using intact cells. Our findings reveal that the cell membrane@ AuNPs with a catalase mimetic activity can act as a novel nanoantioxidant for antioxidative therapy. Further studies showed that this nanozyme have the great potential to be used as ROS scavenger and showed significant cytoprotective effects against apoptosis-induced by oxidative stress. Based on this study, we suggest that this bioinspired cell membrane@AuNPs possess potential antioxidative activity against progression of many oxidative diseases, including neurological disorders, cancer, inflammatory diseases, etc.
