“…Following the above school and author results, country concentration continues to decrease at a linear rate (r 2 fit of 0.807). This matches the previous edition as well as feedback from the journal editors regarding the increasing internationalization of contributors (Swanson & Suzuki, 2021;Wong, 2021). Authors from 39 different countries published in the journals in 2022, again triple from the onset of the analysis in 1992.…”

“…Many of the journals are now celebrating noteworthy anniversaries, including 60 years for the Transportation Journal (TJ) and 50 years for the International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management (IJPDLM) (Swanson & Suzuki, 2021; Wong, 2021). Although the journals have progressed in stride with the evolution of supply chain, the titles of most have largely stayed the same.…”

“…In addition to the sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring capabilities, we also coded the performance outcomes of DPT. During the coding phase, we only extracted outcomes that were backed up with at least some evidence, thus leaving out references to outcomes that were only expected so as to mitigate the risk that “subsequent literature reviews all assume that the performance claim is true” (Wong, 2021, p. 201). As illustrated in Table 1, only a few papers presented proven performance outcomes, which we further clustered into efficiency and effectiveness.…”

“…This paper aims to synthesize previous research findings on procurement digitalization through a systematic literature review (SLR) in order to develop a fine-grained conceptual model that supports practitioners and researchers alike in better understanding the transformative impact of procurement digitalization, the potential gains firms can expect from DPT, as well as the capabilities required to strategize about procurement digitalization. We aim to contextualize DCT to integrate the fragmented body of literature on procurement digitalization (Durach et al, 2021), thereby enhancing knowledge on this specific and emerging domain (Wong, 2021), and provide a structured approach to future research. The following research questions were formulated:…”

“…The core of collaborative research, including engaged scholarship, is that researchers and practitioners work together to contribute jointly to knowledge about a problem of common interest (Van De Ven and Johnson, 2006). In logistics and supply chain management, Wong (2021) encouraged engaged scholarship to advance theory and practice, and van Hoek (2021) called for engaged scholarship to foster the managerial relevance of research. Contemporary challenges in logistics and supply chain management call for research to be a driver of innovation and change (Touboulic et al.…”
