Canthin-6-one ( 1) and beta-carboline-1-propionic acid ( 5) have been found previosly while 10-methoxy-canthin-6-one ( 2), 10-hydroxy-canthin-6-one ( 3),10- O-beta- D-glucopyranosyloxycanthin-6-one ( 4), 6-methoxy-beta-carboline-1-propionic acid ( 6) are new alkaloids.
