Abstract: Hemorrhage is the leading cause of preventable death in trauma patients. In recent years, technological innovations and research efforts aimed at preventing death from hemorrhagic shock have resulted in the emergence of resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA).
