Abstract: BackgroundThe functional deterioration and loss of motor neurons are tightly associated with degenerative motor neuron diseases and aging‐related muscle wasting. Motor neuron diseases or aging‐related muscle wasting in turn contribute to increased risk of adverse health outcomes in the elderly.
