“…The reaction between [{Cd(pfb)(H 2 O) 4 } + n · n (pfb) − ] [ 28 ] and [Ln 2 (pfb) 6 (H 2 O) 8 ]·2H 2 O [ 13 , 36 ] in the presence of phen (in the 2:1: 2 ratio, respectively) in MeCN at room temperature gave a series of 1D-coordination polymers with the composition [LnCd(pfb) 5 (phen)] n ·1.5 n MeCN (Ln = Eu (I), Gd (II), Tb (III), Dy (IV)) (yield ~65–80%). It was found that increasing the synthesis temperature to 75 °C and crystallization of III in a sealed vial allowed us to isolate the crystals of [Tb 2 Cd 2 (pfb) 10 (phen) 2 ] (V) complex in ~40% yield.…”

Zn(OH) 2 was synthesized by the reaction of stochiometric amounts of KOH and Zn(NO 3 ) 2 ·6H 2 O in water.…”

Synthesis, Characterization, DNA/HSA Interactions, and Anticancer Activity of Two Novel Copper(II) Complexes with 4-Chloro-3-Nitrobenzoic Acid Ligand

“…Although substituted benzoic acids are often used as ligands to synthesize metal complexes [ 29 , 30 ], 4-chloro-3-nitrobenzoic acid copper(II) complexes have not been reported, in order to obtain new possible metal anticancer drugs, herein, we synthesized the copper(II) complexes [Cu(ncba) 4 (phen)] ( 1 ) and [Cu(ncba) 4 (bpy)] ( 2 ) and characterized them via carbon hydrogen nitrogen sulfur (CHNS) analysis, infrared spectroscopy, and single-crystal XRD. We investigated their interactions with CT-DNA/HSA and used a Cell Counting Kit 8 (CCK-8) assay to evaluate their cytotoxicity in vitro against human hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG2), human cervical carcinoma (HeLa), and human lung carcinoma (A549) cancer cell lines.…”
