“…Recently, a number of studies have reported that the neutrophilto-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) has potential as a marker of inflammation, both in cardiac and non-cardiac disorders [12][13][14][15][16][17][18]. Besides being a valuable biomarker for cardiac diseases, NLR is also a potential marker for inflammatory conditions caused by Objective: The aim of this study was to determine whether the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) can be used as a predictor for deep neck space infections (DNSIs) that occur as a complication of acute bacterial tonsillitis in the pediatric population.…”

“…Only 0.8 per cent of the remaining cases were thought to have a central cause, and 26 per cent were 'unclassified'. 2 While these data suggest that vestibular migraine is not often seen in Thailand, the matter remains unresolved because the review's methodology may not have selected vestibular migraine cases. In Isaradisaikul and colleagues' review, the screening criterion for chart review was a hospital attendance coded with an International Classification of Diseases version 10 code pertaining to vertigo.…”

“…Previous work from Thailand found that the most common diagnoses were benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) and Ménière's disease (K Y K Bangpoophamorn and S Sirompotong, unpublished data). [1][2][3] However, the majority of these data was reported prior to widespread awareness of the diagnosis of vestibular migraine. Subsequently, the international literature has indicated that, whenever studied, vestibular migraine and BPPV are the most prevalent causes of vertigo reported.…”

“…The BPPV is usually idiopathic and found among people aged 46-50 year old. 7 The method to diagnose BPPV is Dix-Halpike maneuver. It is used to induce nystagmus which is one of the characteristics of BPPV.…”
