“…In order to test the proposed method, we applied the proposed method to two real cases that had been previously studied by the Program of Acquisition and Analysis of Electromagnetic Signals of National University PAAS-UN resorting to the assessment method based on epidemiology [6]. These two cases were selected with the aim of comparing the proposed method with already existing results.…”

“…CAUSALITY IN the conditions related to them, which combined are capable of causing an specific (frequently undesirable) power quailty state [6], that can cause one or more disturbances. In this case, the system is compound by loads and feeders connected to point of common coupling.…”

“…Some of them use the orthogonal decomposition of current based on FBD's power theory [7] [8] like the method explained in [6]. The method proposed in this paper employs some of these principles, particularly the decomposition of currents and the Method of Disturbances Interaction -M D I [4], in order to determine the interaction between agents for each stationary disturbances.…”
This paper presents a method for assessing causality in power quality under stationary conditions, resorting to an index tipically employed in graph theory, the centrality index. Subsequently, the method is illustrated by means of two real systems, allowing a comparison among the results obtained from other existing methods. A discussion regarding the results and its interpretation is presented as well.In comparison to existing methods, the proposed method does not discard not responsible agents, it directly assigns responsibility. Two application cases are presented, so as a discussion on the obtained results.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
