Abstract

Desertion from the origo by farmers and decurions was a very frequent phenomenon througohut III and IV centuries. This paper studies the procedure for claiming the fugitives through three imperial constitutions of the 400, 416 and 419 that indicate a homogenous conception about it and clarify some of its main aspects.
