Abstract:This paper concerns the global existence of solutions to a system of non-linear compressible non-autonomous Navier-Stokes equations in an unbounded domain. To prove the global existence, we first study an approximate problem in a bounded domain and obtain a priori estimates independent of the boundary of the domain. Then letting the diameter of the domain tend to infinity, we get a global spherically symmetric solution as the limit.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
