In an extension of these studies, we have found that V/Ti02 is an effective catalyst for the reaction of methanol and n-propyl alcohol (PrOH) to form isobutyraldehyde and for the catalytic alkylation of other alcohols, aldehydes, and ketones by using methanol as the methyl group source.…”
