Catalytic performance of bismuth pyromanganate nanocatalyst for Biginelli reactions

Abstract: 10Bi 2 Mn 2 O 7 Nano-powders were synthesized via a stoichiometric 1:1 Bi:Mn molar ratio hydrothermal method at 180 ˚C for 48 h in a 1M NaOH aqueous solution. Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-Vis) spectrum analysis showed that the nanostructured Bi 2 Mn 2 O 7 powders possessed strong light absorption in the ultraviolet region and the direct band gap energy was obtained from the UV-Vis spectrum.
